Waffles

These waffles are a great quick and easy dessert that you can whisk out anytime. They are absolutely delicious, and the fruit sauce I posted a few days ago adds a lovely fruity twist!


For 18 waffles you will need

250 g of butter or margerine
200 g of sugar and a bit of vanilla sugar
5 eggs
500 g of flour
2 teaspoons of baking power
400 ml of milk


Whisk the butter (or margarine) until creamy and then add the sugar and the vanilla sugar and beat together. Separate the eggs and add the egg yolks to the butter sugar mixture and mix in well. Beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Add in the flour and the baking powder, as well as the milk to the butter sugar egg dough. Lastly, fold in the egg whites carefully until it all combines nicely. Heat up you waffle iron and start baking the waffles :) Serve with fruit sauce and enjoy! :)
