Coconut Macaroons

These lovely little treats are really easy to whip up and take no time at all in the oven, and best of all: they're really delicious :) Cover them in chocolate if you like or have them as they are, either way I am sure you'll enjoy them!



Ingredients

200 g of desiccated coconut
200 g of sugar
2 egg whites
vanilla sugar (optional)
chocolate




Whip up the egg whites until they form soft peaks, then add in the sugar (and vanilla sugar) and whip until they form a glossy merinuge. Add in the desiccated coconut and mix in well. Place little dollops of the mixutre onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 175°C and bake them for about 10 minutes.


You could then proceed onto covering the macaroons in chocolate if you like:
