Nut-Banana-Chocolate Cake

... or in other words: Christina's birthday cake :) Please excuse the quality of the pictures, we celebrated in a small Irish pub and lighting wasn't exactly great and we had no plates either :) But hey, all that matters was the taste, and it seem to be the overwhelming opinion that it was indeed very tasty :) I found the recipe here :)

Ingredients

2 eggs
100 g of sugar
a pinch of salt
50 ml of sunflower oil
100 g of ground hazelnuts
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
a bit of vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
250 g of flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
3 ripe bananas
100 g milk or dark chocolate either grated or as chocolate chips
another 50-100 g of chocolate (dark)

Whisk together the eggs with the sugar, oil and salt until creamy. Add in the ground almonds, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the mix, in turns with the milk. Peel and slice the bananas and fold in with the chocolate. Grease a loaf baking tin, pour the cake mix in and bake in the oven at 175° C for 50-50 minutes. After taking it out of the oven, let the cake cool for a bit and then melt the chocolate over a water bath and pour over the cake.
