Yummy Rhubarb Crumble

You can use this crumble recipe for most other fruits, such as apples and change it according to your taste preferences :) My housemates enjoyed this joint effort by Tish and me a lot and I would definitely recommend you try this easy recipe :)

For a tin of about 25cm x 15cm you will need

6 sticks of rhubarb
250 g of sugar

300 g of flour
150 g of butter
75 g of sugar

Cut the rhubarb into small pieces and place in a sauce pan. Cover with the sugar and cook down until they are of a “mushy” consistency. Transfer the rhubarb mixture into your ovenproof dish and prepare the crumble mix. In a bowl, mix in the flour with the sugar and add the butter cut into cubes. The butter must be cold for this! Start working the mixture by rubbing it between your fingers. This may take a while but eventually, it will start to form a crumble :) Place the crumble on top of the rhubarb and bake in a preheated oven at 180° C for about 30 minutes or until the rumble starts browning at the sides (we overcooked it a tad but oh well :D) Serve with custard if you like and enjoy :)
